Happy Real-Start-to-the-Olympics Day!

Just kidding.

It's funny looking back at Canada's junior hockey team from 2005. Considered one of the best of all time, the roster boasted defensive talents like Brent Seabrook and Shea Weber, as well as sublime superstars like Corey Perry, Patrice Bergeron, Ryan Getzlaf, Mike Richards, and...that Crosby guy.

Funny also how, five years later, Team Canada's 2010 Olympic roster is structured around those same centerpieces. No one can say Canada doesn't developx their talent well. Except now it's big time, for all the marbles. There's no Canadian icon to lead the way, no Stevie Y, no Joe Sakic; just an ailing Scott Niedermayer (-17 this year), a defensive corps highlighted by youth and skill, and a whole lot of talent and spirit up front. I'm not gonna lie - I basically want to throw up every second from nerves. Luckily, my stomach has given me enough of a respite to write this post and say:

GO CANADA GO!!! (and remember...)
